Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of thorntonsvipbeauty.co.uk (the "Website") and any purchase you make through it. By browsing the Website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please do not use the Website.

1. Website Operator

This Website is operated by Thornton's VIP Beauty, 20 N Parade, Bradford BD1 3HT, Yorkshire, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

  • Email: support@thorntonsvipbeauty.co.uk
  • Phone: +44 7345 902323

For company registration details (company number, VAT number, if applicable), please contact us using the details above.

2. Eligibility

By using this Website and placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or are using the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf;
  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract;
  • Any information you provide during registration or checkout is accurate, current, and complete;
  • You are purchasing goods for personal use and not for resale, unless otherwise agreed with us in writing.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion where we reasonably suspect these eligibility requirements are not met, or where fraud or misuse is suspected.

3. Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, ingredient lists, and pricing displayed on the Website are accurate and up to date. However:

  • Minor variations in colour, shade, or appearance may occur due to screen/device display settings, lighting during photography, or batch variation from manufacturers.
  • Product packaging and formulations may change from time to time; the version you receive may differ slightly from the image shown, though functionality and ingredients will remain substantially the same unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in product information, pricing, or availability, and to change or update information at any time without prior notice, including after an order has been submitted (in which case we will contact you before proceeding, in accordance with Section 5).
  • Where products relate to skincare, cosmetics, or similar items, always check the full ingredient list before use, particularly if you have known allergies or sensitivities. Product descriptions on the Website are for general guidance only and do not replace professional advice (e.g. from a dermatologist or GP) where relevant.

4. Pricing & Currency

  • All prices displayed on the Website are shown in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of applicable UK VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Shipping costs are calculated based on your delivery destination, order size/weight, and chosen delivery method, and will always be displayed and confirmed before you complete checkout.
  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time; however, changes will not affect orders for which we have already sent an order confirmation email.
  • In the unlikely event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical, technical, or pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the order, refund any payment taken, and notify you as soon as possible. We are under no obligation to fulfil an order at an incorrect price, even after an order confirmation has been issued, where the error is obvious and reasonably recognisable as such.
  • Promotional codes and discounts are subject to their own specific terms (e.g. minimum spend, expiry date, exclusions) which will be stated at the time the offer is made, and cannot typically be combined unless expressly stated.

5. Orders & Payment

  • Adding items to your basket does not reserve stock or guarantee availability.
  • Placing an order via the Website constitutes a binding offer by you to purchase the goods in your basket, subject to these Terms.
  • A contract between you and us is only formed once we send you an order confirmation email confirming acceptance of your order. Receiving an automated order acknowledgement (confirming we have received your order) does not, by itself, constitute acceptance.
  • We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, at any stage prior to dispatch, for reasons including but not limited to: stock unavailability, suspected fraudulent activity, pricing or listing errors, or an inability to verify your payment or delivery details. If we decline or cancel your order, you will be notified and any payment already taken will be refunded in full without undue delay.
  • Payment is taken at the time of ordering via the methods listed on our Payment Policy page. All payments are processed through secure, encrypted third-party payment providers; we do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • You confirm that any payment details you provide are your own, or that you have the authorisation of the cardholder/account holder to use them.

6. Shipping

Full details of delivery destinations, estimated delivery timeframes, and shipping costs are set out in our Shipping Policy. This includes information on:

  • Domestic (UK) and, where applicable, international delivery options;
  • Estimated dispatch and delivery times, which are estimates only and not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated;
  • What happens in the event of delays, lost parcels, or delivery issues;
  • Risk in the goods passes to you once the products are delivered to the address you provided, or to a person authorised to accept delivery on your behalf.

7. Returns & Refunds

Full details of your rights to return items, applicable timeframes, condition requirements, and how refunds are processed are set out in our Refund & Return Policy.

In addition, please note:

  • If you are a UK consumer, you generally have a statutory right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving your goods, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, without needing to give a reason. Certain items, such as opened or unsealed cosmetics, skincare, or personal care/hygiene products, for health and hygiene reasons, may be exempt from this right once unsealed, as permitted by law — please refer to the Refund & Return Policy for specifics on which items this applies to.
  • This statutory cancellation right is separate from, and in addition to, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect of goods that are faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality (see Section 11).
  • Where a refund is due, it will typically be issued to your original payment method within a reasonable time, as set out in the Refund & Return Policy.

8. Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled free of charge at any time before dispatch. Please contact us as soon as possible using the details in Section 18, quoting your order number.
  • Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled in this way, but you may still be entitled to return the item(s) in accordance with Section 7 and our Refund & Return Policy.
  • We aim to process dispatch promptly, so cancellation requests should be sent as early as possible to ensure we can action them before your order leaves our warehouse.

9. Acceptable Use

When using the Website, you agree that you will not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, our systems, or any account that is not your own;
  • Submit fraudulent, false, or misleading orders, or use stolen or unauthorised payment details;
  • Use any automated system, bot, scraper, or data mining tool to access or extract data from the Website without our prior written consent;
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful or technologically damaging material to the Website;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place an undue burden on the Website's servers or networks;
  • Use the Website for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Website, cancel orders, and/or take legal action in response to any breach of this section.

10. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this Website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, product images, icons, videos, and the overall look and feel — is the property of Thornton's VIP Beauty or its licensors, and is protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
  • You may view, print, or download extracts of the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use only.
  • You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or otherwise use any content from the Website for commercial purposes without our express prior written permission.
  • Third-party trademarks, brand names, and product names displayed on the Website remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Your Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which provides that goods supplied to you must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality;
  • Fit for purpose; and
  • As described.

If a product you receive is faulty, not as described, or does not meet these standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund, depending on the circumstances and how soon after purchase the issue arises. These rights exist independently of, and are not limited by, our own returns process described in Section 7.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law.
  • Subject to the above, our liability to you in connection with any order or use of the Website is limited to cases of wilful misconduct and gross negligence, and, where applicable, to the price paid for the relevant product(s).
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable to both parties at the time the contract was formed.
  • Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights you hold under applicable UK law, including those referred to in Section 11.

13. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, industrial action, courier or postal delays, supplier failures, or government restrictions. Where such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

14. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint about a product or your order, please contact us in the first instance using the details in Section 18 — we aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly.

If we are unable to resolve a complaint directly, UK consumers may also be entitled to use an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider, or the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform where applicable, to help settle the dispute without going to court. This does not affect your right to bring a claim through the UK courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update or amend these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal/regulatory requirements. The version published on this page at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed of any updates.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed deleted, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply in full force and effect.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, meaning that if you live elsewhere in the UK or abroad, you may still be able to bring proceedings in your own local courts where applicable consumer protection law allows.
